April has brought a significant milestone for me and my art. It is my first time having my art displayed in a public space! It hangs in my neighborhood in East Village, New York. Kona Coffee Roasters serves some of the best coffee in the city, and there is a great atmosphere of creatives working, catching up with friends, or basking in the sun in the outdoor seating.
What are the odds that a Kona girl lives next to a Kona cafe? Destiny? Yes.
This experience has invigorated my inspiration and makes me even more proud to be from Kona. I am excited to explore my creativity and celebrate where I am from and where I am going through my painting.
