School of Design

Since I was 13 years old, I didn't want to go to college. I never thought it was something for me. Graduating high school during COVID-19 lead to me living in quarantine on Big Island. Once the world eased up, I lived in Bangkok, Thailand, on a modeling contract. This is where I began to see how much there is, a world of possibilities. It was shortly after returning home from Thailand that I felt lost. With having deferred to SDSU, and supposed to go in a couple months, and my parents going through a divorce- I just wanted to run away and not have to have them deal with the financial burden of a school I didn't really care for.
I can go on and on.... But all of this lead me to move to NYC with a childhood best friend, and we toughed it out. Thankfully, securing a job, I was a bright-eyed and sorta shell-shocked 18-year-old. We went through many learning curves and lessons- and fun times. It had been around 2.5 years living and working in the city- somehow making just enough for rent and food each month, breaking out in stress rashes, and feeling like I was going in the right direction but needed to LOCK IN. For the first time ever, I wanted to go to college and figure out what I am passionate about. I realized I wanted to stop struggling and want to thrive!!!
Long story short, I am so thankful for my decision and the opportunity to attend Parsons School of Design. It truly is such an honor to learn and have this opportunity to be in this bubble of potential and limitless growth. I'm doing a BBA in Strategic Design and Management and a minor in Fine Art. I am SO BLESSED!!!!!!
